5 Best Things To Spend Your Money On (If You Wanna Be Happy)

How To Spend Your Moolah For Maximum Happiness

Everyone knows the formula for making more money – just work harder and work smarter.

So! You have worked hard and made your dough. But nobody is telling you how to spend those bills wisely. When you spend your hard-earned money on all the wrong things, the things you own end up owning you.

Let’s talk about how I spend mine. In my not-so-humble opinion, these are the 5 best things to spend your money on.

Health (The Biggest Wealth)

No 3 truer words have ever been spoken in this universe than ‘health is wealth’. You should always be investing in your physical and mental well-being. Good health is like the oxygen around us. We take it for granted and do not notice its presence – BUT! We will definitely feel its absence and boy, is it painful.

Spending to improve and/or maintain your health is one of the most valuable investments you can make, since health is one of the 3 foundational pillars for a good life.

Over the years, I’ve learned one simple truth: Money Buys Happiness, period! Those who say money doesn’t buy happiness don’t know shit. When you have pain in your shoulder (like I currently do), would you be happier if you could spend $1,000+ on an MRI to find out what the hell is going on, or if you couldn’t afford it? When you have severe hand eczema (like I do), would you be happier if you could afford thousands of dollars to see the best damn skin specialist or if you couldn’t?

See, when you’re in pain, you would pay any amount to make the pain go away. Or do you believe some good socialist in a white coat will cure you pro bono out of the goodness of his heart?

Personal Appearance (Look Good)

Whether you’re a man or woman, spending money on your appearance can only pay off massively. Let’s face it – like it or not, better looking people get treated better everywhere they go and enjoy all kinds of advantages.

Good looking/attractive people make more money and get more sex.

Being beautiful/hot also means others perceive you as more intelligent, trustworthy, funnier, and all kinds of goodness that comes with the Halo Effect.

One of my long-term goals is to still look like my 20s when I’m twice this age. I recently dyed my hair purple but don’t like it as much. I think I will go with blonde next time.

Convenience (Use Money To Buy Time)

How much is your time worth? Think about this question carefully.

Using money to buy time is a no-brainer for me. Money is infinite and can always be earned, but time is a bitch that is never coming back.

You know what? Once your income reaches a certain amount (depending on your life situation, country you live in etc.), making more isn’t going to make you happier. Which is also why I’m a jerk who turns down dozens of potential clients every day if doing business with those individuals is going to be too much trouble or just too annoying.

The most effective way to use money is to use it to make your life easier and more convenient. By the way, the way to get rich is NOT to pinch on every penny. That’s scarcity mentality. I would rather spend $100 to save myself an hour or two by outsourcing mundane tasks, because I can make way more money in that time.

Random example: Skipping an Uber ride to save $20 but wasting an extra hour of traveling is like spending your time thinking how to reduce your income tax from 25% to 23% instead of just focusing on making more money.

In any case, studies have shown that when people spend money to save time, their happiness goes up. So hire someone to mow your lawn, deliver your pizza, or clean your house!

Investing (Use Money To Make More Money)

If you are not using money to buy time, you might as well use money to make more money and retire earlier. They don’t teach you investing in schools because society is designed to train you to become an obedient zombie-sheep slave.

How to approach investing (not financial advice): When you’re trying to get rich, you can afford to take bigger risks like buying cryptocurrencies. When you’re already rich, your goal should be to preserve/protect your wealth and not risk losing your new-found freedom.

Talking about freedom…

Freedom (Live Free Or Die)

I listed this item last, but I’m really saving the best for last. This is actually the NUMBER ONE thing I would spend my money on.

In fact, the whole point of making money is to buy freedom!

Many people would say they want to “travel” when they get rich. Well let me break this to you – slogging away at a cubicle job you hate for 50 weeks a year just to be able to afford a 2-week vacation is no fun way to live.

What if you structured your life such that you could travel anytime you wanted? Having a location-independent income allows you the freedom to do just that.

That’s why “travel” isn’t on this list of 5 best things – freedom is.

And that’s also the reason I founded Team Diego that has helped hundreds of men (and women) make money with online soccer betting.

If you can afford to live anywhere, you can stay in places that treat you best (instead of remaining in your country even if it treats you as fucking dog shit). Not to mention the freedom of not having to report to a boss.

Heck, these days you can even buy passports and citizenships if you’re unhappy with the one you were born with. Don’t believe me? Check out the Caribbean nation of Saint Lucia (costs $109,500) or Comoros in East Africa (costs $45,000).

BONUS: How To Think About Money

Remember what Tyler Durden said in the movie Fight Club?

“I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables – slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need…

We’ve all been raised on television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars, but we won’t. We’re slowly learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed off.”

Tyler was right. But the real reason why most people will never become “millionaires, movie gods, rock stars” is because they have the wrong mindset about wealth.

To attract wealth into your life, you have to get rid of the mentality that money is scarce. Because it isn’t. There’s more than enough wealth floating around this Earth for you. God, it’s hard to reverse this false brainwashing that society did to us.

Money is abundant! When you come from a weak position of scarcity – you will be afraid to take risks, feel uncertain about investing in yourself, and never dare to dream of living the life you really want.

Here’s a great example. While I receive 30 emails a day from weak-minded people complaining about my “expensive” soccer betting consulting fees, my actual clients who have taken the leap of faith tell me things like this every day:

how to get rich with football betting

Remember Point Number 3 from above? I bring convenience to our members by not only teaching you the exact soccer betting system BUT ALSO providing the exact betting picks daily. This means all you have to do is spend ten minutes a day placing the required bets on your smartphone, even if you know nothing about soccer!

Money = Freedom = Happiness.
